NICKOLA (NICK) PERUN January 12, 1927 - December 25, 2005 Our beloved father and best friend entered into his eternal rest on Sunday, Christmas Day, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 78 years. Nick was predeceased by his wife Florence, September 29, 1972. Our father and best friend will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters, Caroline (Darryl), Janice (Real) and son David; his grandchildren, Joshua, Anastasia and Natalia. Nick was born in Vita, MB, moved to Winnipeg at a young age, worked for the City of Winnipeg Water Works District #3 since 1950. Nick chose to spend his retirement at the Whiteshell, camping and going to Garden City mall, where he would meet his friends. He also went to 141 Legion on Saturdays. Sundays would be his time to enjoy his violin and guitar when friends and family would come. He loved cats, dogs and his goldfish and feeding the birds. He also loved his garden flowers. We think of our dad as a down to earth guy, Just plain like the sea, the wind and the sky, We think and we know he has gone from our side, But we think of our dad with the utmost pride. Prayers will be held January 7, 2006, at the 141 Legion Banquet Hall, 618 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk O.F.B.M. officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel 2157 Portage Avenue 897 - 4665

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Grandpa was a very talented man. His passion for playing music will always be a memory of mine growing up. His garden was my favourite place to play with Toby, his pup. I spent much time picking grape tomatoes and running along the wooden boards in the garden while his many intrinsic wind catchers spun in the wind. His house was always my favourite place to be in the summer as he was always outside enjoying the weather too. Although my memories were from so long ago, I think of him often...interested in knowing more about his past. - Posted by: Anastasia (Grandaughter) on: Dec 04, 2014
